1. Information We Collect

When you use TipsHedge, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

• Email address — provided when you sign up for a free or premium account, or subscribe to our mailing list.
• Name — provided during account registration.
• Password — stored only as a cryptographic hash; we never store or can access your plain-text password.
• Prediction preferences and sport interests — sports and competitions you follow, as entered or inferred from your dashboard usage.
• Bankroll and staking settings — starting balance, risk level, and staking configuration you voluntarily enter into the Bankroll Manager feature.
• Bet tracking data — your interaction with prediction tracking tools within the dashboard.
• Payment information — billing details are collected and processed directly by Whop and Stripe. TipsHedge does not store, process, or have direct access to your full credit card or banking details.
• Telegram username — collected when you connect your Telegram account to access our prediction channels.
• Usage and analytics data — pages visited, time on site, device type, browser, and referring URL, collected via Google Analytics and our own server logs.
• Cookies and tracking data — as described in Section 5 below.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal information only for the following purposes:

• Account management — creating and managing your account, authentication, and membership tier access control.
• Predictions delivery — sending your daily prediction card via email, Telegram, and the dashboard.
• Personalised staking recommendations — your bankroll settings are used by our AI to provide personalised staking guidance in the dashboard (for informational purposes only).
• Service communications — welcome emails, subscription confirmations, billing notifications, and service-related announcements.
• Analytics and improvement — aggregate, anonymised usage data helps us understand how users engage with the Service so we can improve predictions, features, and the user experience.
• Marketing communications — with your consent, we may send you promotional emails about TipsHedge features or offers. You may opt out at any time.
• Legal compliance and fraud prevention — to comply with legal obligations and protect the integrity of the Service.

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage

Your account data — including email address, name, bankroll settings, and prediction tracking data — is stored on Supabase, a database-as-a-service platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). We use AWS infrastructure in the Asia Pacific (Sydney) region (ap-southeast-2) where possible to keep your data within Australia.

• All data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
• All data transmitted between your browser and TipsHedge servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher).
• Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel only.

4. Third-Party Services

TipsHedge uses the following third-party services that may process your personal data as part of delivering the Service:

5. Cookies and Tracking

TipsHedge uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for the following purposes:

• Essential / session cookies — required for authentication and to keep you logged in during your session. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — used to understand how visitors use our site. IP addresses are anonymised and data is aggregated. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Advertising / tracking pixels (Meta Pixel) — used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. You can manage your preferences via your Facebook Ad Settings.
• Preference cookies — may be used to remember your settings and preferences (such as theme or notification settings) between visits.

You can control or disable non-essential cookies via your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies will impair your ability to use your TipsHedge account.

6. Data Retention

• Your account data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
• If you request account deletion, your personal data will be removed from active systems within 30 days of the request, except where retention is required by applicable law (e.g. financial records for tax purposes).
• Anonymised, aggregated analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely to help us understand long-term usage trends.
• Backup copies of data may persist for an additional 90 days following deletion from live systems, after which they are permanently purged.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

• Access — You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction — You may request that we correct any inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated personal information.
• Deletion — You may request that we delete your personal information (subject to any legal obligations to retain it).
• Objection — You may object to certain uses of your personal information, including for marketing communications, at any time.
• Subscription cancellation — You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through your Whop account dashboard.
• Marketing opt-out — You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us directly.

8. Children's Privacy

TipsHedge is strictly intended for persons aged 18 years and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has created an account or submitted personal information, we will delete that information and close the account promptly. If you believe a minor has used our Service, please notify us immediately at dev@tipshedge.com.

9. Australian Privacy Act Compliance

TipsHedge operates in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We are committed to handling personal information openly, transparently, and in accordance with our obligations under Australian law.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information or breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may first contact us to resolve the matter. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a formal complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at 1300 363 992 or oaic.gov.au.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers (including Google, Meta, and Resend) are based outside Australia and may process your data in other countries. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle your data with equivalent levels of protection to those required under Australian privacy law. By using TipsHedge, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in other countries where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
